The Youth Development Volunteer programme is an exciting opportunity for you to:

  • Be involved in improving services for young people
  • Meet new people
  • Gain experience of working in a team
  • Have fun
  • Gain new skills and use ones you already have
  • Work towards a nationally recognised qualification at either Level 1 or Level 2.

The programme which is open to all young people aged 13-19 (25 if you have a learning difficulty or disability) is a real chance to add lots of experience to your CV.

All you need to do is be able to spend a minimum of 10 hours per month taking part in activities and projects.

There are many different activities and projects you can get involved in, these include, teambuilding, mystery shopping, interviewing people who want to work for Connexions, First Aid, special training as well as attending a three day residential.

You can work towards a qualification just by taking part in these activities and filling out a small workbook about what you have been involved in. Remember you don’t have to do the qualification but the option is there if you want to.

If you are interested in getting involved or would like more information please fill out the form and we will get back to you soon.

You can find out more about some of the YDVs here.
