Student travel passes 

Travel to sixth form or college

If you’re studying in years 12 or 13 you may be able to save money on travel costs to and from college.

If your parents or carers pay council tax to Staffordshire County Council, they can buy a bus or train pass for you that will save money on the normal cost of travelling to and from college. The pass may be issued for free if they (or you) are in receipt of certain benefits. For more information, go to www.staffordshire.gov.uk/post16transport 
 
Stoke-on-Trent City Council have different arrangements. If your parents or carers pay council tax to Stoke-on-Trent City Council, please contact the transport department on 01782 233232 for details of their scheme and how to apply.
 
Rail travel

If you’re aged between 16 and 25, you can buy a 16 – 25 rail card that you can use to save money on standard rail fares. Visit www.16-25railcard.co.uk for more information.
