Under 16 and want to leave home?
You can’t normally leave home if you’re under 16 - unless there are serious problems at home such as abuse, bullying or violence.
If this is the case, then it’s best to get some help as soon as you can.
Where can I get help?
- Childline is a free national helpline for children and young people that you can contact at any time of night or day. You can talk to them about anything – no problem is too big or too small… If you’re feeling scared or out of control or just want to talk to someone – phone Childline on 0800 1111. (Calls are free from a land-line and most mobile networks and they don’t show on the phone bill. If you visit the Childline website, you can cover your tracks if you want to.)
