Parentline Plus
Provides advice and guidance on a wide range of parenting issues. You can find lots of useful information on the website or you can talk to a specially trained adviser by phoning Parentline on 0808 800 2222. Calls are confidential and are free from landlines and most mobile networks.
Parents’ Centre
Information and support for parents of all ages. Includes topics such as having a baby, early years development and childcare.

Gives details of local childcare providers as well as general information about childcare.
Local Support Groups
Support Service for Young Families
(SSYF) are a team of Personal Advisers. They work throughout Staffordshire supporting teenagers who have experienced pregnancy, are pregnant or are already young parents. For a confidential chat, phone 01785 277 728 or phone/text 07815 827 884. You can make an appointment for an Adviser to see you in your home, your local Connexions Centre or another venue such as your local café – whatever suits you. Alternatively, you can ask your Connexions Personal Adviser to put you in touch.
If you live in Stoke-on-Trent or North Staffordshire then The Teenage Pregnancy Team for North Staffordshire offer advice and support to pregnant teenagers and young Mums and Dads on issues such as health care, childcare and parenting skills. Its website provides information for both young parents and the parents of young parents. Ask your Connexions Personal Adviser to put you in touch.
