Connexions Staffordshire

Learning difficulties and/or disabilities

Connexions is a service for all young people.

If your son or daughter has a learning difficulty and/or disability (LDD) they can access our services from 13 until they are 25 years old.

Connexions Personal Advisers can provide information, advice and guidance on the different learning and work options open to your son/daughter. They can also provide information and practical support on a range of other issues such as voluntary activities, leisure, relationships, finance and other services that may be available to support your son/daughter.

All schools/colleges have a Connexions Personal Adviser (PA) linked to them and your son/daughter will be able to see their PA at school/college.

PAs also attend Parents’ evenings where you will have the opportunity to speak to them about your son or daughter’s learning and career choices. It may be possible to arrange a home visit.
